Faltis Family Heads to Los Angeles for Three Months

Mr and Mrs Joe Faltis of 925 Twentieth Street SE will depart Tuesday for a three months stay in Los Angeles. They were hosted over the holidays by their daughters Mrs J E Robiole and Mr Robiole of Los Angeles and by Mrs R E Burgilt and Mr Burgilt with Bobby of Rock Island. Mr Robiole left for New York on business and Mrs Robiole will join later to arrange their parents western residence.

Bridal honors for Miss Margaret Hadley in Cedar Rapids weekend

Ashley chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its first meeting of the year next Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Bungalow of the Iowa Electric Light and Power Co. Mrs. Harold R. Collecting Wedgwood Jasper A Fun Hobby For Mrs Shenefelt

Mrs E E Shenefelt of Vernon Drive SE began collecting Wedgwood jasper about five years ago. Her 36 items span jugs, teapots, boxes and vases from Cedar Rapids to New York City and Canada. She aims for varied colors and designs, noting pieces marked Wedgwood before 1891, and hopes to add red or pink pieces no longer produced.

Peterson and Salter Crowned Kings at Coe College Party

Dr. Ben H. Peterson and Dr. Alice B. Salter reigned as king and queen at Coe College faculty Twelfth Night party in the recreation room of the men’s gym. Crowned by Mrs. John M. Henry, the Martha Marquis circle hostess group, the event featured games and prizes awarded to Dr. Myron L. Koenig Alma Turechek Kathryn York and William Evans. Camp Fire Dinner Set for Monday in Cedar Rapids

The annual Camp Fire dinner will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Elks club with Rev. William A. Jacobs as guest speaker. Attendees include Camp Fire council members sponsors and guardians and representatives of other youth organizations in Cedar Rapids. Joan Yessler will sing and a Camp Fire girls quartet will perform. Mrs. Jay Hesser will chair the business session featuring officer elections and talks by Jean Denton and Mrs. G Wood.
