College district weighs all day kindergarten shift
The College Community School District school board will consider moving kindergarten to all day, five days a week at Prairie High School library. The proposal stems from two years of study on attendance schedules and cost, with finance reportedly no obstacle. The board also reviews a new truancy policy and a 1982-83 tax levy plan, proposing a $12.23 per thousand rate and an $8,062,607 district budget, plus a $100,000 secretary’s cash reserve contingent on state action.
