Nellie Tenney born Libbie Chapman, 81, lifelong Volga resident, died Monday night in an Oelwein hospital. She served Volga cemetery board, Eastern Star, and Volga Methodist Church. Survived by daughters Wilma and Marjorie and son Hugh. Service at Volga Methodist Church Thursday at 1 30 p m. Burial Hillcrest Cemetery Volga.

Hoffa Cohort Wins in N Y Union Ballot

An ally of James R. Hoffa was reelected chief of Teamsters Joint Council 16 in New York with John J. O'Rourke winning the presidency for a five year term. Dennis V. Crotty trailed as the anti Hoffa ticket fared poorly amid ongoing federal scrutiny. Ballots and records were turned over to a trucking firm for delivery to Washington for the Senate committee investigations.

Eisenhowers to Leave Thursday on Georgia Trip

President Eisenhower shifts departure to Thursday for a 10 day stay in Georgia for quail hunting and golf. The Colum bine III will take off from Washington at 11 am and land at Spence air base near Moultrie by 2 pm, then drive to Thomasville on the hosts George M. Humphrey and wife. B 52 Crashes Into Shack at Ellsworth Air Base

A B 52 Intercontinental bomber struck a control shack during landing at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City South Dakota killing two crewmen and three men in the building. Eight crew members were injured and the plane burned near the end of the runway. The bomber from the 77th Squadron was on a routine training flight when the accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. MST.

Soviet Relief Ship Sets Course for Tunisia to Aid Algerian Refugees

Moscow radio reported a Soviet ship would depart Odessa within hours carrying medical supplies food and textiles for Algerian refugees in Tunisia. The cargo gathered by the Soviet Red Cross and Red Crescent is addressed to the Tunisian Red Crescent for distribution.

Boy Falls to Wagon Tragedy in Evanston

In Evanston Wyoming Charles Carbuth aged 14 was knocked down by a horse drawn wagon and died later in a hospital. Police investigated the incident and noted the wagon was traveling through town at the time of the accident.
