Inmate dies at Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids
A male inmate, serving time on several charges since Dec. 7 and with an extensive medical history, was found unresponsive in a Linn County Jail cell Thursday. Staff declared a medical emergency, performed CPR, used an AED, and the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death while the incident is under investigation.
