HCP to Buy HCR ManorCare Real Estate Assets
HCP Inc. will acquire all real estate assets of HCR ManorCare for 6.1 billion dollars in cash and stock. The Toledo based operator runs about 338 facilities in 30 states with 275 skilled nursing and rehab centers and 50 dementia care sites. The deal includes 3.53 billion in cash, 852 million in stock, and 1.72 billion in prior investments, with closing targeted for late Q1 2011.
