Alliant customers will get refunds due to a lower rate increase, with the exact refund amount to be set after the Iowa Utilities Board issues its written order in January.
Iowa Utilities Board lowered Alliant Energy InterState Power and Light rate increase to 114.5 million dollars from 119 million, on a 13 percent request. The decision also grants a three year transmission rider and promises bill credits funded by reserve accounts, with final bill impacts to be clarified in a January order.
The University of Iowa released a line of black and gold T shirts in Spanish Chinese Japanese Korean and Arabic to honor international students.
