Pair of 2021 murder trials stay on track for 2022

Separate trials for Karina Cooper 46 of Traer and Huston Danker 26 of Shellsburg resume in January and February 2022. Both defendants are charged with first degree murder in the June 18 2021 killing of Ryan Cooper 42. Danker will face trial January 21 in Johnson County District Court Cooper on February 25 in Linn County District Court. Trials moved from Tama County due to pretrial publicity. The bail remains at 1 million for both defendants.
