Retired Cedar Rapids Teacher W A Wick Dies at 70

W A Wick longtime Cedar Rapids public school teacher died Thursday aged 70 after 25 years in retirement. Born near Brookings Washington July 25, he married Isa Phelps in 1920. He served in World War I and belonged to St Pauls United Methodist Church American Legion VFW and Retired Teachers. Memorial services at Turner Chapel Cast with cremation to follow. Friends may call until 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The family requests donations to St Pauls church memorial fund.

A Swisher mayor's court ten day sentence for disturbing the peace led to his rearrest. Michal E. Man Sentenced for Theft from Employer

Ira G. O Neal aged 50 of Cedar Rapids pled guilty in Linn district court to theft of numerous microphone items from Turner Microphone Co. in Cedar Rapids. Judge William Eads imposed a suspended six month jail term. The theft occurred between November 1, 1968 and January 10, 1969.
