Lawsuit settles over Coral Ridge Mall murder case
The Farrington family settles a wrongful death suit against Coral Ridge Mall Universal Protection Service and security guard Alexander Kozak. Kozak is serving a life sentence for the June 12 2015 fatal shooting of Andrea Farrington inside the Coralville mall. Details of the settlement were not disclosed and the suit was dismissed with prejudice.

Tyler Konigsmark a 20 year old former Cedar Rapids school bus attendant was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for sexual exploitation of three middle school girls. The judge cited mitigating factors including ADHD and a low functioning intellect.
