Stead Family Children’s Hospital to Delay Opening
Iowa City officials say the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, built at a cost of 360 million dollars, will push its planned December 10 opening to January or February due to unfinished construction and holiday labor gaps. Bruce Rastetter and President Bruce Harreld were cited in the delay discussions. Gilbane Building Co. remains the project manager as the administration seeks to understand the delay details.
