Long Term Farm Credit Demand Draws Attention at Land Bank Conference
Erickson, president of the Wedersland Bank of Omaha, addressed over 100 Land Bank directors from Eastern Iowa at Cedar Rapids conference. He noted most loans fund land purchase and improvements while some assist modernization. He projected possible slackening in demand next year due to higher interest rates, but overall credit needs will stay sizable. Total lending in the past year reached 214 million dollars across Iowa Nebraska South Dakota and Wyoming, driven by machinery and input costs. Dairy Congress entry deadlines are September 4 with show entries due August 20 and are managed by Richard Byrittn.
