Lancaster stable after quintuple heart bypass at Cedars-Sinai
Actor Burt Lancaster underwent more than five hours of open heart surgery Friday at Cedars-Sinai, receiving a quadruple bypass. He is reported in stable condition by hospital spokesman Tess Griffin. The piece also notes a novelty gift: Secretary Heckler received a box of 96 cigars from Dr. Jesus Azurin during a visit to Washington.
