Fly Iowa 2001 lights up Iowa City skies with air shows
Up to 10000 aviation enthusiasts are expected at Iowa City Municipal Airport for Fly Iowa 2001. About 250 pilots will perform Saturday and Sunday with free kid airplane rides, science shows, a hangar dance, and air shows featuring a Navy Trojan T-28 trainer and military aircraft including A-10 Warthog F-16s B-2 and B-25 bombers. Organizers include the Iowa Aviation Promotion Group City of Iowa City Rockwell Collins and Coca-Cola.
