Man Dies in Fiery Crash Near Mt Vernon
Steves Loveless, 24, of 2060 Glass Road NE, died in a late night fiery crash on old Highway 30 five miles west of Mt Vernon. Dr. Joseph Galles, assistant county medical examiner, identified him by dental records. The accident occurred at about 10 10 p.m. as Loveless, driving west, reportedly lost control on a curve, veered into a north ditch, hit a farm driveway, and was engulfed in flames.
