Porsche to race 917 in Can-Am at Mid-Ohio

Teaneck New Jersey AP reports Porsche introduces the 4.5 liter 917, touted as the most powerful Porsche yet, to join the Can-Am series at Mid-Ohio on August 17 driven by Brian Redman with Richie Ginter as crew chief. The car, weighing about 1740 pounds, top speed over 200 mph, developed in Stuttgart and to be imported by Porsche Audi of Teaneck.
