Flood storms trigger outages across Towa river region

Cedar Rapids Motorcycle Crash Claims Second Victim

Doris Anderson, 23, of 1255 Houston Court NIE, died Wednesday from injuries after a Monday night motorcycle crash on Cedar Rapids northeast side. Her husband Wesley Gene Anderson also died at the scene. She had been hospitalized at Sir Luke's with a broken neck. Investigators said a car driven by Clifford A. Billington, 5, from 105 Thirty-fourth Street NIE, pulled from Oakland Road onto Thirty-fourth Street in front of the motorcycle. Witnesses note excessive speeding by the motorcycle. No charges have been filed. Burial planned at Dunkard Cemetery after services at Murdoch Chapel Center Point.
