Mercy Hospital Opens New Physical Therapy Center in Cedar Rapids

Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids announces a new physical therapy department the first at the facility. Leo Morrissey directs the 20 by 40 foot space added to the west wing at a cost of 17000 dollars with equipment funded by the Mercy Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. 4000 dollars has been donated toward the 7000 dollar equipment total. The center offers exercise and treatment for out and inpatients, including post polio fractures neurological trauma arthritic and bursitic conditions, featuring an ultra sounding machine and paraffin baths among 12 treatment areas.
