Tauke returns contribution from figure in S&L scandal
Republican Senate candidate Tom Tauke returned a $1,000 contribution from Washington lobbyist Robert Thompson tied to the S&L scandal. Thompson and Arizona businessman James Fail are under Senate Judiciary subcommittee scrutiny. Thompson did not appear as subpoenaed.
