Two Die in Eastern Iowa Crashes Include Delaware Jones Counties
The Iowa State Patrol identified two men killed in recent crashes in Eastern Iowa. Kyle J. Kelchen, 39, of Manchester, died when his ATV was struck after failing to stop at 310th Street. Gerald J. Beitz, 67, and Susan E. Beitz, 65, of Monticello, were injured as Kelchen failed to yield at 310th and 190th Avenue. In Jones County, Maurice V. Hennessey, 96, of Ryan, died when his Ford Focus left the road, hit a sign, and caught fire. The patrol continues to investigate both crashes.
