Franciscan Father Agnellus Lammert Dies Before Jubilee Mass
Father Agnellus H Lammert of the See City Franciscan died Sept 10 just before his silver jubilee in New Mexico. A solemn Requiem Mass was sung at Sacred Heart Cathedral Gallup with Father Vincent Kroger 0 F M celebrating in the presence of Bishop Bernard Espelage. Lammert, 52, was educated in Cincinnati and ordained in 1927. He served in Kentucky Illinois and Indiana before joining Indian missions in 1932, restoring Laguna mission and building four Gallup area missions. Burial was in New Mexico. A Requiem Mass was held Monday at St John the Baptist in Cincinnati for the repose of another Franciscan missioner.

Arch bishop Karl J Alter praised Charles Williams as more than a humanitarian at his Cincinnati funeral for the late business and civic leader who died Sept. 11 near Forestville.
