Miss Betty Kiernan of Edgecliff is awarded a graduate assistantship at the Catholic University of America for counselors and advisers of girls. The senior, daughter of Mrs Edward Kiernan of Cincinnati, has served as editor at Whiteshff and as National Relations chair on the Regional Commission at the college.

Registration Opens for St Xavier's Business School Girls

The St Xavier's Business School for Girls at 520 Sycamore Street Cincinnati invites applications for courses in secretarial work bookkeeping and stenography. Bishop Mussio to Sing Mass in Italian Church

The Most Rev. Bishop John K. Mussio will offer a Solemn Pontifical Mass at Sacred Heart church in Cincinnati on Pentecost Sunday May 20 at 10 30. Officiating officials include Rev. Paul Seibold assisting priest Rt Rev Moor after A Roddy deacon William subdeacon and Rev Robert Buschmiller master of ceremonies. The choir is directed by Mrs Teresa Venosa and Vincent Orlando. Father Butler council Knights will have a Communion span on Sunday May mi at 7 80 o'clock. Knights will receive the second and third degrees. A spring dance nominating officers and buying an electric scorcher for Hamilton Catholic high school mark a busy month. The Brede class to be initiated May 27 honors a late Hamiltonian Brede past district deputy Fourth Degree member and Columbia Bank president.

Purcell Baccalaureate Ceremony Planned for May 31

Purcell high school seniors will attend baccalaureate services at St Francis de Sales church in Cincinnati on May 31 at 10 am with Monsignor J He Schenberg as celebrant and Rev William Scanlan delivering the sermon. The valedictorian will be Edward Donald Kern. The salutatorian address will be given by Robert Earle Backheim. Of the 156 graduates, 40 are in the services and 330 freshmen attended an open house May 11.

Thirty eight students of the Mercy hospital school of nursing will receive their at exercises May 27 at the Hamilton high school auditorium. Ursus academy seniors announce a series of events on Oak Street and Reading Road. On Tuesday in May from 3 to 5 juniors host seniors and parents for the annual senior tea in a formal reception line.
