Scout Medals for 47 Boys Will Be Awarded Feb 10
Cincinnati Dayton Hamilton and Middletown scouts will receive Ad Altare Dei awards in ceremonies Sunday February 10 in Cincinnati and Dayton. Forty seven boys from Catholic troops in Cincinnati Hamilton and Middletown will receive the award at the 11th annual presentation held in the old Cathedral of St Peter in Chains at 230 pm. Monsignor R Marcellus Wagner V G pastor of St Lawrence's parish will officiate in Cincinnati. About 600 Catholic scouts of the Miami Valley Council will attend a court of honor in St Anthony's church Dayton at 200 pm. Eagle awards as well as Ad Altare Dei medals will be presented. Lee Butz will be chairman of Boy Scout Sunday in Cincinnati with committee members from St Lawrence's St Bonaventure's St Margaret Mary's Catholic Committee on Scouting St Aloysius Bridgetown St Johns Deer Park St Mary's Hyde Park Our Lady of Lourdes and others handling guests and attendance. The Ad Altare Dei award recognizes first class rank spiritual advancement with required religious work and examination before troop chaplain and diocesan board.
