A Denver mining expert details the North American Asbestos property on Casper Mountain eight miles from Smith Creek. Serpentine dyke and nearby diorite show extensive asbestos seams in tunnels and a 50 foot shaft, with a mill site 100 feet below the tunnel portal under construction. Charley McCarty Dies After Long Tuberculosis Battle
Charles McCarthy long troubled by tuberculosis died at his Casper home after calling relatives and friends to bid farewell. Born in Ireland, he worked in New York and then as cashier at Kimball drug store in Casper until ten days ago. Funeral set for 10 am tomorrow at the Catholic church.

Sunday School Convention Draws Casper’s Largest Crowd
Natrona county Sunday School convention met at the Methodist church in Casper and drew the largest gathering yet for Sunday school work. Rev Meritt the northwest international missionary and Miss Alice Holliday of Laramie led talks on past progress and future needs. Holliday cited Michigan state penitentiary data showing only ten of eight hundred inmates were regular Sabbath school attendees. Wilfrona reports seventeen school districts and eight Sunday schools for 1908.
