Denver reports a five firm merger creating the Mid-West Asbestos Company capitalized at 8 million with offices named in Denver. The new group, led by Denver executives, plans to build processing plants in Denver and factories in Kansas City and the Pacific coast, with mining on Casper Mountain in Natrona County Wyoming.

Deserted Family Arrest of A G Smith

A G Smith was arrested last week and brought back by Sheriff Klos on a charge of desertion and embezzlement in this city. He is held on bonds and will be tried in March at the district court.

Brewery men host dinner on Casper brewery project

W C Metzger hosted CasperWisconsin businessmen at a Rhinogeros dinner to discuss a proposed Casper brewery. They spoke on the venture’s prospects and support for early construction of the brewery.

Wyoming Electric Grand Opening Showcases New Plant

The Wyoming Electric plant opened with a public tour drawing two to three hundred visitors. Music by the Leavitt-Line orchestra and a display of new electrical appliances highlighted the event. Illuminated exterior lighting and in-building demonstrations drew guests to learn about use and advantages of the appliances in operation.

Firemen's Ball Draws Record Crowd for Casper Fire Dept

The Casper fire department ball at the Coliseum drew an estimated 600 to 800 attendees, with tickets near seven to eight hundred sold. Proceeds fund member care, sick leave, and departmental expenses. The event featured a reception by the department and plans for plant tours with demonstrations and refreshments.

Plans for Masonic Temple Ready for Contractors

Architect Shaffer has drawn plats and specifications for a new Masonic Temple to rise at Center street and 2nd avenue. The building includes a bowling arcade and recreation rooms in the basement, an auditorium on the first floor, lodge rooms and banquet hall on the second, and a $35,000 expenditure.

Suitsered Sunday School Supper Draws Social and Fundraising Support

The George Washington supper hosted by Mrs. G W Ferguson's Sunday school class at the church parlor last Saturday evening was a success socially and financially. The young ladies waited on tables wearing white dresses with powdered hair in Colonial style. The room featured red, white and blue streamers and patriotic color themes in the decorations.

Building on West First Avenue Expands Lodge Rooms

The McClure block on West First avenue adds another story to provide a large lodge room for fraternal orders. The hall spans 22 by 72 feet with an anti room, kitchen, and property room. Basement space becomes a tailor shop and a 4 a restaurant, while the first floor houses four two room suites. Contests show local vote counts and a subscription prize offer with a March deadline.

The lead list shows 83 600 votes with Mrs Parsons second and a $25 cash prize. A special vote offer urges contestants to recruit subscriptions, promising each candidate can secure ten yearly subscriptions and potentially win the grand prize. The contest office will stay open evenings until 9 pm to assist workers.
