Salt Creek Field Produces Oil From Sandstone Core
The Salt Creek oil field covers about 5 600 acres of proven sandstone and a surrounding shale area. Sandstone yields commercial oil while shale shows erratic results with about a third of wells successful. Oil is paraffin base with gravity 38 40 degrees and varies in composition from gasoline and water white kerosene to light oils and a heavy residuum. Midwest Oil Company totals over 2 500 000 barrels and Franco Petro Jeani about 750 000 barrels, for roughly three and a quarter million barrels extracted in two and a half years.

Golden wedding wreck a souvenir in Hollywood crash
Mr and Mrs Silas Adsit of Casper Wyoming, aged 78 and 73, were in a car collision with a street car at Ninth and Alvarado in Hollywood while celebrating their golden anniversary.
