Pumping Plant Completes Historic Glenrock Irrigation Project

A large pumping plant near Glenrock will lift water from the Platte river to a height of forty feet for gravity irrigation across about 30 000 acres. Five pumps move up to 60 000 gallons per minute powered by electricity from the LaPrele dam line. The project, led by Dr J M Wilson and Fred W Hart, costs over a million dollars and aims to boost Glenrock’s future growth. Mrs A P Webb and son joined Mr Webb returning from Missouri where he worked in the Hokey meat market.

Game Preserve Proposed In Copper Mountains Region

Victory for Douglas in Casper high wheel basketball game

The Coliseum hosted a Douglas vs Casper high school boys game with a Casper girls prelim and a 15 to 6 Douglas victory. Officials were Prof. Claypool and J. B. West. the Douglas team outplayed Casper with a clean, snappy contest and a strong band performance complemented by Douglas hospitality.
