Elk capture plan to ship young elk to Laramie county

Casper official outlines state action authorizing transport of a large number of elk from Jackson Hole to Laramie Peak country for winter feeding. Two carloads of young elk will be captured and released in winter ranges with state funding, to boost deer and elk populations and protect from extinction amid heavier snows and hunting limits.

Central Wyoming league formed with Casper, Lander, Douglas and Wheatland

W P Martindale and Ray Bryan will attend a meeting in Douglas to organize a Central Wyoming league including Casper, Lander, Douglas and Wheatland with winter games. The season ends with the champion facing the Southern league winner for a statewide title. A Casper‑Douglas game is set for Saturday December 2 with a preliminary by Casper girls. Wyoming Delegate Denounces Pinchot at Irrigation Congress

Albert W Bartlett of Casper and Cheyenne denounced Gifford Pinchot during a speech at the National Irrigation Congress in Chicago. Bartlett, an ex pert mining engineer, jumped on stage and sparred with Pinchot, accusing conservation policy of stalling development and charging wasteful-focus on future generations. Wyoming Game Officials Prepared to Enforce State Law

Prosecuting Attorney W C Witon received word that residents south of Casper may be trapping Og bear. Deputy Game Warden Allen Laughlin investigated but Albany County residents were identified as the alleged violators. A search warrant will be sought in Albany County after the warden’s Casper return to pursue action if guilt is proven.
