Midwest oil drill hits 1000 barrel producer at Salt Creek

The Midwest Oil Company drilled a high yielding producer at Salt Creek, estimating 1000 barrels per day from a well south of the home camp on section 21-4 74 land owned by Stock Company. Operations aim for future expansion once a new refinery is completed. Mrs. Joe Cody remains hospitalized after surgery. condition improving.

George Rhoades remains in Casper Private hospital after surgery for acute appendicitis. His condition is improved but recovery may be slow due to advanced stage before treatment. Serious Operation at State Hospital

Mr Dick Carey of Salt Creek underwent an operation Tuesday at the State hospital for an ailment of various nature. Dr L Gillam was the surgeon in charge, chosen by Dr Kamp. Carey's father Mr Sandia traveled from Salt Creek to be present and returned yesterday. Carey's condition is described as doing as well as could be expected.

Federal Building Contract Let to Virginia Firm

News reached this city early this week that the contract for the new federal building has been let to King Construction Company of Charlottesville Va. The brick two story structure with stone trim will have a cement basement and a main floor for the post office while the upper floor houses the reclamation service offices. The contract price is 6000 and work is to be completed by July 1. The building will be at the corner of Second and Walcott streets occupying the black fronting north and west.

Death of Mrs Wilhelmina Knapp in Camp er

Mrs Wilhelmina Knapp died Friday morning at 415 o'clock after sixteen years in Camper. She was born in Hewtum Germany June 2 and was age year old. Funeral from 3d Northeed street Monday at 2 pm with internment Casper cemetery. She was a member of Women of Woodcraft. local order attendees included Abotty and neighbors.

The J Fred Roberts construction outfit faced a wage dispute at a Hartington area camp. Workers refused to work, Roberts ordered the man assaulted at the depot and later was fined Twenty dollars with bond set at one hundred. Roberts claimed the act was to quell a riot and protect company property.
