A noon blast in Wall Street injured hundreds and killed more than twenty as flames surged from a vehicle or bomb near the Morgan building. Investigators cite possible collision or bomb plot, with vast damage and many injured treated at Broad Street Hospital.
United Press reports early Colorado returns show Karl C. Schuyler leading Samuel D. Nicholson by about 2 500 votes for governor with 29 414 to 27 088 as 846 precincts reported. Tully Scott competes for the Democratic Senate nomination with 14 603 for Scott, 6 050 for Dallks, 15 556 for Callinotte.
Special elections held in Greater New York to fill vacancies in the state assembly after five Socialists were expelled last spring. The ousted lawmakers sought vindication by running again, with William McKinley Lowden and J Ham Lewis among the leading figures, while Uncle Joe Cannon was renominated for Congress by Republicans.
