Mines and Mining Booms Across Camps in Western Territory

The Morrigan tunnel extends over 800 feet with steam drills at Ure and an 80 foot shaft planned on Big Windy in Providence camp. In Camp McKinney the Cariboo is installing a seven drill air compressor, while Winnipeg mine’s 60 horsepower boiler and compressor pass Cascade. Kamloops in Camp McKinney will become a townsite soon. City of Paris and Lincoln in Central camp report 900 feet of face in cragscut drift. The Burnt Basin work on Mabel and Bessie continues with August Reichh departing to lead. Highland Queen and Thunder Hill in Canyon Creek have been bonded by Sydney M. Johnson. Nellie Cotton bond completed in Greenwood camp. Two shifts and strong prospecting activity with Beaverton growing as a promising center. Golden Crown shaft at Wellington camp down 160 feet towards 600 level. new 5 drill compressor installed. Winnipeg stock climbs as development proceeds. new compressor plant expected to boost ore reserves. James Cooper Mfg. Co. hoisting and pumping plant ordered for Snowhoe property by Alfred J. First Presbyterian Church Cascade Organizing Meeting

The First Presbyterian church of Cascade held an organizing meeting at the school house last Monday evening. Rev. Joseph McCoy preached the sermon and signed members joined. Rev. J M Wallace from Grand Forks was expected but delayed by mail. Officers will not be chosen yet and the roll remains open for signatures.
