A new liquor license act requires $10 fees to Victoria by May 15 or November 15, licenses advertised two weeks before effect, with bonds of $500 and annual hotel licenses rising to $100 in outlying areas.

Citizens to attend Queen's birthday in Cascade

Paymaster Woodman, for railway contractors, traveled to Grand Forks on Thursday. his firm is garnishee defendant in the case of Hosking v. Degmin, involving two subcontractors on the railway construction. The lease, with many others, was continued.

Cascade District Elects Three School Trustees In Quiet Vote
Julius Black traveled to Spokane while James M. Martin announced plans to visit Cascade soon. An impromptu Cascade Auditorium dance honored Lizzie McIntyre who leaves for Greenwood. Three school trustees Rochaesen McRae and Ferguson won in the Cascade School District election. George Tierney was jailed for vagrancy and assault, transported from Grand Forks jail. Lily May, reported missing, may have fled to Boesburg. Prof. J. W. Watkins will lead a charity concert May 22 and 28 in Cascade Auditorium. Engineer Englund and fourteen men scouted Grand Forks for a potential smelter spur. Kettle River rose rapidly, flooding the dam area but no danger to the power structure remains.
