Cascade to Celebrate Queen's Birthday Citywide Event

Cascade plans a large Queen's birthday celebration with crowds from Grand Forks Bossburg and beyond. A five member finance committee led by W A Milne diverts funds toward prizes races and entertainment with a $500 goal and a $100 rock drilling prize.

Cascade townlands to go on sale May tenth

The new town of Eholt at the summit plans market release for May 10. A trapper named O'Brien shot a silver tip bear near Peterson's on the Brooklyn wagon road this week. Harvey Harris and Mrs Harris return from Idaho. H Stoecke fills in, then returns to Camp McKinney. Superintendent Wm Anderson notes water above the dam remains chilly. He fell into a sluiceway while working there.

Corbin Withdraws Kettle River Charter Bid

D C Corbin reportedly withdraws his Dominion parliament application for a Kettle River Valley railway charter. Officials cite low chances of success in the railway committee and sources in Rossland say the move is confirmed despite earlier denials.

Mail improves in Cascade with same-day delivery

For the first time in many moons, Cascade receives Rossland and Nelson mail the same day it is sent. The change in service to Boundary country from Mar cue to Rossburg aims to improve mail delivery, while Spokane transmission still needs progress. Continued good work by American authorities could yield a notably better system.

Christina Lake Reopens to Navigation After January Freeze
