Hholt townsite laid out as Cascade marks holiday
Surveyors began laying out the townsite of Hholt on Thursday as Cascade prepares for the Grand Forks celebration. The custom house will be closed today for a legal holiday. Contractor Ferguson starts Stanley Mayall's new Knob Hill cottage. Collector Rose expects to move into the new custom house next week. Oscar Stenstrom of Scandia is noted in the report.

The town celebrates with champagne as a tracklaying and surfacing gang keeps busy with rails and bridges. Videen reports about 40 at services and townsite owners donate a lot and log building for divine use. Contractor Videen plans continue grading for a side track with about 100 men employed.
