Narrow Escape For Gerald Upton on Mountain Rock Slide
Gerald Upton of the B C M M Syndicate faced a deadly fall on a mountain slope as rock parted under him. He wedged the rock with his foot and his companion blocked with a stone providing a half second to jump to a narrow ledge. A 400 pound rock and smaller debris thundered past within a foot of him, plunging 600 feet below. His companion calls him an angel who narrowly escaped death.
