Delegates Return From Aux Convention
Mr and Mrs Fred Parish Mr and Mrs Robert McKain and Mrs William Beck came back Friday from the National American Legion and Auxiliary Convention in Atlantic City New Jersey September 15 to 19. Delegates numbered 840 Auxiliary and many more Legion delegates. Mrs McKain and Mrs Beck represented Indiana 10th District at all sessions. They attended Pan American Civil Defense pre convention meetings and watched a joint Legion Auxiliary memorial service. They joined the Indiana Caucus and saw a ten hour parade. Mrs Beck and Mrs McKain served at a tea for Mrs Robert Hoey of New Haven Indiana a National Vice President candidate later elected. They attended The Grand Ball with Ray Bloch Orchestra. Mrs Beck went to a dinner at the Mayflower with past Indiana officers and district presidents and others saw Olson and Johnson. Parish McKain and Becks also attended a boxing event Wednesday evening. Weather was fine and they left Friday the 13th.
