The Annual District Rural Youth Conference in Greensburg drew about twenty Rush County members on Monday night October 22. Harold Isley of Shelby County was elected district chairman for 1946. County secretaries reported club activities, with Freida Johnting presenting Rush County's year. Dean E Hodge of Arlington led the evening’s recreation including folk and social dancing.

New Owners Rename Frost Restaurant to J and E Inn

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 PM at Thompson Funeral Home for Miss Ruth Blessinger who died in a Thursday automobile crash while en route to work at Delco Remy in Anderson. DeWitt Foster led the service with Mrs. H T Beher and Mrs. Louis Humes singing. casket bearers included Thomas McConnell and several brothers. Interment was in Walnut Ridge cemetery. Survivors include eight brothers and one sister. four brothers are veterans of World War II.

A Carthage youth was arrested by Marshal King and Sheriff Grinstead on a charge of passing a bogus $29.50 check drawn on the local bank at Knights Town. The youth allegedly admitted using the name Billy Gates and had a ticket to Indianapolis for a military examination when picked up.

Death of Mrs. Carrie F. Tindall
Mrs. Carrie F. Tindall, widow of Dr. W. W. Tindall and former Carthage resident, died last week at Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Feb 27 1876 to George W. and Mrs. Phares, she married Dr. Tindall in 1903 and lived in Carthage for three years before returning to Shelbyville.
