A worker named Mike faced a raging fire after lightning struck an oil tank. He closed leaking trap doors to vent gases, then swung along a platform brace and slid down a six inch pipe to safety, losing skin on his hands and destroying his pants in the process. He credits his prior flying rings training with saving him from a deadly fall.
