Missionary Speaker Mrs Heslop to Address Nazarene Church

Mrs Norah Heslop widow of Dr W G Heslop and a returned missionary from Korea will preach at Sunday morning 10 30 and again at 7 30 in the Nazarene church. Born in England she has lectured in 13 foreign countries and conducted missions in Japan Hawaii India North Africa Egypt and France. She has preached in war torn Korea and is noted as an educator lecturer and author.

Isaac H Earnest 85 Dies After Friday Illness

Funeral services were held at Carrollton Methodist church for Isaac H Earnest 85 who died Friday at St Johns hospital Anderson. He was uncle of Oliver Earnest Carthage and survived by widow Sallie Earnest daughter Caleta Boring of Anderson and other relatives. Perfect Circle Chorus In Recital

Carl Hoover directs the Perfect Circle Male Chorus in a Wednesday 7 30 p m concert at First Presbyterian Church Rushville as part of a church preaching mission October 24 30 led by Rev John Abernathy. The mele chorus from the piston ring Hagerstown plant performs 12 concerts yearly across Indiana and western Ohio. Hoover is quality control administrator and in his fourth season as director.

Rush County 4-Hers earn national meet trip

Nellie Lower of Walker Township and Herman Robbins of Ripley Township lead Rush County 4-H at state level, earning spots to attend the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago. Nellie holds 46 Home Economics and 14 Agriculture projects, while Herman boasts 55 projects and a Soil and Water Conservation award. The two join 92 Indiana counties in competition, with Nellie and Herman each receiving all expense trips and scholarship opportunities.

Methodists Rise New Aged Home at Franklin Indiana

Franklin Indiana Methodists advance a new aged home now half completed and slated for May 1956 completion. Dr Sumner Li Martin estimates Solomon temple work would require 183300 workers seven and a half years versus 140 men fifteen months to finish the home with 809628 cost and 94 resident rooms on 40 acres. The project, brick with stone trim, is funded by the Indiana Conference and regional congregations, with ongoing annual support and plans for two additional wings bringing total costs near 3 million.
