Morris M. Runion about 50 who runs the Black Bear Tavern pleaded guilty to selling beer to Jackie Evans 20 and was fined 25 dollars plus costs by Justice of the Peace Robert Hinshaw at Rushville. James Kleiman was charged with selling beer to a minor. The tavern’s beer and wine permit renewal was approved by the Rush County Alcoholic Beverage Board despite protests alleging illegal sales and disorderly conduct.

Car Crash North of Town Ties to Knightstown
William Jones aged 28 of Knights town lost control of his car driving north toward Knightstown near the two mile bridge Saturday night and went into a ditch. The Sheriff's office investigated the accident. Jones faces reckless driving charges and will appear in justice of the peace court.
