Juries for the October term were drawn by commissioners Gurney Cohee and Howard Ewbank in the Rush county clerk's office. A grand jury of twelve and a petit jury of twenty four were selected with the first groups to serve if needed when the Rush circuit court convenes Monday October 6.

Daughter of Local Couple Kills Self
Mrs. Anna Mary Saunders aged 40 mother of seven shot herself with a 12 gauge shotgun in the basement of her Summitville home early Monday. The coroner ruled the death a self inflicted act amid domestic troubles. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Summitville with interment at Town cemetery north of Carthage. Surviving are her parents seven children five brothers and three sisters.

John Steward Dies After Paralysis Stroke at 73
John Steward 73 died Thursday morning at his home on North Market Street after a paralysis stroke on Wednesday. He came to Carthage from Shelbyville twelve years ago and was married to Janie Killion in 1889. Survivors include five sons and four daughters with relatives in Connersville Waldron Henderson Shelby Aurora Fairland and Alaska. Interment will be in Little Marion cemetery near Shelbyville. funeral times were not set at press time.

Milton Kenworthy Undergoes Left Leg Amputation
Milton Kenworthy, father of Rev Murray S. Kenworthy, was moved to the Methodist hospital last week where he had the left leg amputated above the knee. He is reported in a critical condition following the operation.
