Teacher Training School Opens at East St. Christian
A teacher training school will open at the East St. Christian church Monday night at 7 00. About twenty people have enrolled to date and books have been ordered. The pastor will teach the course which runs about thirty weeks and covers Bible facts with a short study of teaching methods each evening. The class is open to all whether a teacher or not and sessions occur every Monday evening.

Boy Scouts to Attend Union Thanksgiving Service

Death of Mrs Alice Bacon aged 72 a native of this town occurs at her Hutchinson Kansas home last Thursday afternoon She is survived by son Robert Bacon of Kansas sister Dr Mary L Bruner and brother Nathan C Binford of Greenfield In route to attend the funeral the son and family were struck by a truck driven by a drunken driver killing their four year old child and injuring both parents with slim hopes for recovery.

Death of Darwin Herkless from accidental horse kick
Darwin Herkless 55 of Oaklandon near Indianapolis died Tuesday morning after being kicked in the stomach by a horse that had previously shown no aggression. A former Rush County farmer, he is survived by wife Charlotte Billman , son Michael, daughter Clara Mae, two brothers Charles I and John S, and sister Bessie Mae. Funeral services at his Oakland home noon Thursday, then at Glencove cemetery Knightstown at 1 30. Burial in Glencove cemetery.
