Knightstown Falcons defeated Carthage Blue Raiders 54 to 37 at Carthage with Knightstown leading 15-10, 29-17 and 43-23 through three quarters. Carthage’s George Boland injured his arm. Bob Jackson fouled out early as Knightstown reserves won 61-25 in the preliminary.

Legion To Sponsor Thanksgiving Dance at Community Center

Bertram Howard Post No. 316 American Legion will sponsor a Thanksgiving Dance this Saturday at the Community Center ballroom. Elmer Hinkle and His Melodiers will perform with a full orchestra. Moscow School Leads Attendance in County Check

County attendance officer Margaret Parmenter reports 97.60 percent attendance across 97 schools during the first six weeks. Township enrollment totals 2,610, Rushville City 1,283, overall 3,893. Moscow and Belle Gregg schools posted top attendance, while Carthage township has 404 pupils and Jackson district is smallest with 83.

Rush County began its 1952 county highway program with 11607.94 from 1951 funds and received 197544.98 from state distributions in 1952. The total available for road work in 1952 amounted to 209152.92, as reported by Indiana Highway Users Conference secretary Leland K. Fishback.
