The first low cost prefabricated house in the United States was erected in Indiana polis with WPA workers. A district wide Methodist Men's rally gathers 37 ministers and laymen from 64 churches in Rushville on Tuesday November 24. National Executive Secretary J Russell Throckmorton of Chicago will speak at night and head the 6:30 dinner program. The event runs 2:30 PM with welcome by Dr J T Scull and covers six counties including Rush Shelby Decatur Franklin Fayette Union parts of Wayne and Hancock. Over 16 000 active members are expected to attend.

Charles E White, 82, a Carthage coal businessman father and husband, died suddenly at home after a heart attack. He was born in Rush County November 12 1864 and lived in Carthage with daughter Ruth. Survived by Eunice Hill his widow, son Fred of Charlottesville, daughter Ruth, brothers Lilburn and Alvin White, and a Carthage Friends Church member.
