Manuel and May led songs, Billy Henley and Sharon Smith played horns, Karen Siler gave the prayer, 16 Chi Rho members plus 3 guests attended, 2 adults present, refreshments by Tommy Manuel and Larry Bush.

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad sent a check for 9082.13 to Rush County Indiana treasurer in Rushville for the county property taxes for the second half of 1959. Rush County 1959 taxes from B and O exceeded 18100 dollars. B and O system 1959 tax bill nears 24 million dollars, over nine million above net income.
Social chairman John K Overman of Carthage a Ball State Teachers College junior helps run the Pi Beta Phi Sigma Delta trade party to be held Friday November 18 at the Sigma Delta fraternity house. The Curtains For Certain theme began when the sorority agreed to make curtains for the Sigma Delta house and these curtains will be hung at the party. Overman is the son of Mr and Mrs Jack Overman of Carthage.
Roy T. Robertson of Carthage has been ill for weeks and was admitted to the Irene Byron Hospital in Fort Wayne Indiana for treatment and observation on Monday. Mrs Robertson and son Raymond accompanied him to the hospital.
Mark Ellis 38 Rushville High School industrial arts teacher was injured when his tractor overturned on river road southwest of Carthage. He suffered a broken collar bone and a hand cut, was taken to Rush Memorial Hospital after turning to speak to his son riding in a trailer behind the tractor. The incident was reported to the county sheriff.
Linda L. Whitfield of Carthage through Eliza Thompson files for divorce from William Dean Whitfield of Carthage. They lived together only 34 days after their August 4 1959 marriage. Cruel and inhuman treatment is alleged.
Rev. and Mrs. Lewis May will move from Carthage to Farmland R. R. 2 on December 1 due to illness. The Walnut Ridge Church members granted the change, saying their stay has been pleasant and they have many friends.
Rush County Highway Department's 1960 annual report shows 23 miles of new blacktop added this year, with plans to add 30 more miles in 1961. The report details road additions, bridge work, signs, snow removal costs, and a six-figure road-maintenance program across 778 miles of county roads.

David Ruby Dean Gardner and Jim Ellis Jr were Saturday guests of Mr and Mrs Ora Clayton in Indianapolis. They joined the Clayton family for supper and overnight visit and attended the North Central High School production of the King and I in which Gary Clayton played in the orchestra.

Den I of the Scouts met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Alice McNabb. The group recited the pledge, practiced a skit, held puzzle races, enjoyed refreshments, and closed with the living circle.
