The Ripley Conservation Club Turkey Shoot at the Leisure farm near Carthage attracted 44 participants who received one or more turkeys. Delmar Sipes and daughters Patricia and Cindy Brooks attended the Indianapolis Ice Revue at the State Fair Coliseum. Mrs. Sipes visited Cumberland with her daughter Mrs. John Cass and Mr. Cass. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Myers welcomed a 7 pound 8 ounce daughter born November 10 at Rush Memorial Hospital. grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pike and Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Myers.

Morristown town marshal and public works official L Ray Cory 69 was found dead Saturday morning in the fire station furnace room of a fatal heart attack. He was a lifelong Morristown resident, never married, survived by a sister and nieces and nephews.
