Homecoming at Friends Church Draws Large Crowd
Large gathering attended the Homecoming at Friends Church with a morning sermon by Rev. C. S. Dudley and selections by a Knightstown male quartet. In the afternoon Rev. Tall Cedars Pilgrimage Under Rain Delays

Three Indianapolis men who hunted and fired promiscuously on the Schweitzer farm near Knightstown were fined $1 and costs totaling $10.25 each. The Misses Myra McDaniel and Marietta Binford moved to Indianapolis on Monday and entered Central Business College.

Carthage Ye Old Tyme Band Recall of 19th Century Con cert Fame
The Carthage Cornet Band formed in 1871 drew crowds for summer concerts on town grounds near the old school, now the public library. Members included Murray Rawls, Lucius Nixon, Joseph L. Hubbard, and others. they bought a $425 band wagon and once earned $40 at election rallies, about $150 today. They traveled on excursion trains to Cincinnati and played at Rushville and Knightstown fairs.
