He will present a motion picture lecture Through Europe with a Motion Picture Camera at 7 30 pm at the Friends church with proceeds for community welfare.

The Riley Old Home Society launches a membership drive on November 7 to preserve James Whitcomb Riley's birthplace in Greenfield. Plans include reconstructing the home to its childhood state, displaying treasures and relics, and restoring exterior plats and a back yard flower garden to evoke memories of the poet.

William Parish Dies After Prolonged Illness
William Parish 65 of Carthage died at his home Monday evening after four years of illness, with four months of serious decline. Survived by widow, son Russell, daughters Ruth Snyder Columbus and Florence Bringer St Louis, three brothers, one sister and mother Miriam Parish. Funeral at home Wednesday 2 p.m. Arlington Cemetery burial with D. P. Dunn in charge.

Hogs Stolen From Farm Near Here
Two hogs about 235 pounds each were stolen about 3 a m last Thursday from John Stewart's farm near Shively's Corner. Stewart heard squealing but arrived too late. Thieves appeared to flee in a truck.

Indiana hunting season opens next Monday for Hoosier nimrods
Commissioner Virgil M Simmons of the Indiana Department of Conservation predicts a strong season with abundant quail and rabbits due to stocking by the department and local clubs.
