Hiatt Family Honors 80th Birthday in Knightstown

Surviving members of the Hiatt Family Orchestra gathered at Sullivan's in Knightstown to honor Goldie Hiatt Kyser of Carthage on her 80th birthday. Attendees included Ethel Renegar Olive Poston Bernice Jones Alta Carr and A C Hiatt with others from New Castle Milroy Lake Geneva Wis and Indianapolis. Deceased members were Rose Hiatt Lambert Hiatt and Edith Conner.

Dinner At Kopper Kettle Honors 60th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. O. C. McCarty of Carthage were honored at a Kopper Kettle dinner in Morristown on Sunday at 1 p.m. hosted by their daughter and sonsinlaw and Mrs. Ann Stager. The couple celebrated sixty years of marriage with a two tiered white and silver cake and corsages and boutonnieres for guests. Additional guests from Rushville included Mr. and Mrs. Allen Blacklidge and others. The following morning the Fletcher Methodist Church celebrated their lives during Sunday School with a reading and a bouquet from Rev. Stanley Palicki.
