Coffin and James Wed in Indianapolis Ceremony

Enos Coffin long time postmaster of Carthage and Lillie James post mistress at Laurel were married Tuesday October 31 at 3 pm at the Roberts home in Indianapolis. Rev Joshua Stansfield officiated. They left for Carthage after a 6 pm dinner prepared by Coffin’s daughters.

Death of Ralph Mundon in Arlington

Ralph Mundon died Thursday at his Arlington home from bowel compaction. Funeral services were held Saturday at the home, with interment at Franklin Cemetery. He was 25, married, and a conductor on the Dispatch of the I and C Interurban line, known to Carthage residents.

W P Newsom owns a new gold watch given on his birthday by sons Walter Jesse and Frank Born. A son was born to Mr and Mrs George Nardloh of Reading O., and Mrs Nardloh had been at her parents home in Martinsville. Mrs Ann H Hunt and Miss Florence Hunt attended the golden wedding celebration of Jacob G Hunt and wife of Wilmington D. Owing to the couple’s frailty the reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs David B Hunt in Martinsville with 150 guests and over $200 in gold gifts plus other presents.
