Otis Plank 50 died Saturday in Henry County Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were Tuesday at Butcher Funeral Home with Rev. Cleo Cox officiating and burial in Glen Cove Cemetery. A Fleming Kentucky native, he lived 30 years in the area and was a carpenter and Grace Lutheran Church member. Rev. and Mrs. Jack Wallace and sons Terry and Bryan have moved into the parsonage beside the Methodist Church. The school year ends and he will not commute to Carthage and back until September. He has one year remaining at Methodist Theological School in Delaware Ohio. Last week the Wallaces spent three days in Evansville for an interview with Chaplain Lt Col Arthur Mills of Battle Creek Michigan, the Sixth U.S. Army Corps chaplain, as a prerequisite to becoming an Army chaplain and summer training at Fort Hamilton New York.
